Seller Terms & Conditions

1. Eligibility

To sell on Planet24 you may be an individual, dropshipper, sole proprietor or registered business operating legally in South Africa, aged 18 or older, with a South African bank account. A registered company is not required. You must provide accurate information when applying and keep it up to date.

2. Application and verification

Planet24 reviews each application and may ask for identity, address and bank-account documents, plus company-registration or VAT documents only where applicable. We may approve, decline or later suspend a seller account, for example if information is false or these terms are breached.

3. Listings

You are responsible for the accuracy of your listings, including title, description, specifications, images, price and stock. You may only list genuine, new goods that you are legally allowed to sell.

• No counterfeit, stolen, illegal or recalled products.
• No weapons, drugs, prescription medicines, tobacco or adult content.
• No misleading prices, such as inflated 'was' prices that were never charged.
• Images and text must not infringe anyone's intellectual property.

4. Commission and fees

Planet24 charges a commission of 10% on the selling price of each completed sale (including VAT). There is no listing or monthly fee. The seller arranges and pays transport. Every product price must include the transport cost with nationwide South African coverage; Planet24 does not provide delivery. Any change to fees will be communicated at least 30 days in advance.

5. Payouts

Your earnings (selling price less commission) become payable the business day after the customer confirms receipt of the order (D+1). Payouts are paid to your verified bank account. A payout may be held while a return, complaint, dispute or fraud review on that order is open. Online payments and payouts will start once our payment provider integration is approved.

6. Fulfilment

You must keep stock levels accurate, accept or reject orders promptly, and arrange dispatch and transport yourself. Offer instant or same-day delivery where available, and confirm the actual delivery window for the product and address. Dropshipping is permitted: your supplier may ship directly, but you remain responsible for stock accuracy, delivery, product quality and customers' rights. Repeated cancellations or late dispatch may lead to suspension.

7. Returns and refunds

Customers' rights under the CPA, ECTA and our Returns & Refunds Policy apply to all your sales. Planet24 handles returns with customers on your behalf. Where a return is valid, the sale amount is reversed and the item is returned to you.

8. Customer data

You will receive only the customer information needed to fulfil an order. You must use it only for that order, keep it secure and comply with POPIA. You may not contact customers for marketing or move sales off the Platform.

9. Reviews

Customers may review your products and store. You may not post, buy or incentivise reviews, or pressure customers to change them.

10. Taxes

You are responsible for your own income tax and VAT obligations. If you are VAT registered, your prices must include VAT.

11. Termination

You may close your seller account at any time once open orders are completed. Planet24 may suspend or end your account for breach of these terms, with notice where reasonable. Amounts due to you for completed, undisputed orders will still be paid.

12. Liability and law

You indemnify Planet24 against claims arising from your products or listings. These terms are governed by South African law. Use the official contact channels on our Contact Us page for seller enquiries.
