Buying home appliances online: capacity, dimensions and daily use
Compare appliances by the space you have and the job you need them to do, not just the headline price.

Start with the space
Measure the surface or installation space and check the manufacturer’s clearance requirements. For large appliances, measure the route from the entrance to the final position as well. An appliance that fits its destination may still be difficult to move through a doorway.
Capacity should match your household
Compare the stated capacity and what that capacity means in practice. A small appliance may suit one person but require several batches for a family meal. Look for the exact model specification instead of assuming all models in a range have the same capacity.
Check what is included
Accessories, installation materials and maintenance requirements can change the overall value. Read the listing for included parts, instructions and warranty information. Do not assume professional installation is included unless it is explicitly offered.
Buy with a record
Save the model number, order reference and invoice. Inspect the packaging and item when received, and contact support about damage or missing parts rather than using a product that appears unsafe. Planet24’s included national transport concerns delivery cost, not an installation promise.
